True blood Oregonian

I on several occasions have considered leaving the Willamette Valley. I often think "there is a whole wide nation I have not explored". So, I will research, ponder and day dream about living somewhere else, but there is always something that isn't quite right.
I don't like the cold. I am a big baby regarding temperatures below 40 degrees. Really! The cold makes me depressed. I love being outside and would rather march through the rain, than the cold. That rules a huge majority of states.
My next complaint is that I crave rain. I love rainy days. It's soothing to me. Summer months can work as a nice break, or a "absence makes the heart grow fonder" kind of thing. Living  somewhere without rain would be difficult for me to adjust to.
I also have salt water in my veins. I feel a necessity to be in reasonable driving distance to the ocean.
Finally... I need at least some change in seasons. At the end of each season, I look forward to the next, because I love change

I am not actually  picky, and am in fact adaptable, if it was necessary for us to move, but apart from necessity I cannot think of anywhere that meets all of these requirements and thus, unless God replants me, here I'll stay.

  1. Yeah we hated Idaho. I can't think of any place better to live. I hate extreme temperatures, but I don't like monotonous weather either. I like the rain, although I would prefer to have an every few days rain, rather than a few months straight and then a break, because the lack of vitamin D and fresh air gets me down. Plus we have a very low incidence of both yucky creatures and severe weather storms, which is nice.
